Dear Devotees

Happy New Year 2007.

This is to report that last Saturday we cooked a nice feast for Gopali at the temple (13 days after passing away). We had a simple feast in mind but we ended up cooking a wonderful and sumptuous lunch buffet. (matar panir, samosas, puris, capatis, potato guaranga, fancy rice, salad, ginger - lemon drink, chutney, shrikand, sweet samosas, gulabs etc.. etc..)

Gilles, Christine and their son Laurence came with friends and were delighted at the reception. They took darshan of the deities and were even shown some of the night sets Gopali made before moving to Dallas.

We took some group photos but I have not received them yet. However, Visvambhar prabhu sent a very nice photo of Gopali during one of Gurudeva's visits to the UK. Please send more photos. Thank you

Dear Mother Gopali

We pray for your wonderful and glorious return to the loving embrace of Srimati Radharani and Sri Kalachandji. Your children are the wonderful fruits of your lifelong service and commitment to Srila Gurudev. We are constantly inspired by stories of your service and though we did not get a chance to associate personally we hope you will recommend us to your spiritual community in the spiritual world !

Sounds like a great farewell feast. Radha charade was known to me only as Yves Ayoun. What a pity Yves didn't think to tell me, his wife of six years at the time, that he was at a hare krishna ceremony. In fact, I've just discovered that his 'friend' Aniruddha, pres of the Melbourne Temple didn't know of my existence.

A nice balance of reprehensible behaviour - lying to me by not telling me he was even in the hare krishna cult, and lying to devotees by not acknowledging the existence of the woman with whom he lived and whom he daily claimed to love.

Whatever ceremony he participated in to honour the life or the death of Guylaine, was contaminated by his profound deceit.

Hare krishna. If this is the best that krishna consciousness can produce, save us from it.
